A judging panel that included Cleve West MSGD, Sarah Eberle FSGD and Arabella St. John Parker from awards media partner Homes & Gardens has selected ten finalists in this year’s SGD Student Awards.

The Awards, which have been expanded to include entries for both commercial and domestic projects, attracted a very high standard of entries this year with the judges remarking on the exciting diversity of projects and the wide variety of techniques used by the students to express their ideas.
This year’s finalists are representative of a range of UK colleges including the London College of Garden Design, Duchy College, Writtle College and the University of Greenwich.
Society of Garden Designers Chair. Philippa O’Brien said: “The Society is passionate about nurturing new design talent and it was inspiring to see such a high standard of entries this year. The SGD Student Awards are a fantastic springboard from which to launch a new career and a great opportunity for the Society to support and celebrate the achievements of its student members. We are looking forward to revealing the winners at the Awards ceremony in January.”

The winning students will be announced alongside the winners in all the SGD Award categories at the awards ceremony on Friday 29 January 2016. Tickets for the awards ceremony go on sale on Friday 30th October.
