The comprehensive nomination dossier includes detailed evidence of the Botanic Gardens’ outstanding universal value as a heritage, scientific and recreation destination for the city, says CBA, and is ‘a visionary plan for its future development and a management plan to guide change over the next 20 years’.
UNESCO will evaluate the bid in the period leading to June 2015 when a decision on whether to include it on the World Heritage List will be made.
