Belvoir Castle opens border competition for Flower and Garden Show
Belvoir Castle has revealed the dates for its ninth Flower and Garden Show which will take place on 11 – 12 July 2026 at the castle grounds.
Sponsored by CED Stone, the event also includes the return of its border competition. Applicants are invited to showcase their best designs in either 1.2m x 4.8 m border or 2.4m x 2.4m border spaces, celebrating this year’s theme; Pollinators.
Design submissions should be no more than one A3 page and include: an outline drawing of the idea including an elevation of the planting design and a brief description of the narrative or story, as well as a mood board showing an idea of some of the plants to be used.
Submissions can be emailed as a PDF digital copy to head gardener Andy Tudbury, halcyondays.ge@gmail.com.
Featuring exhibitors ranging from plant nurseries, garden centres and suppliers, the event showcases flower displays and garden design inspiration.
Tudbury says the event is “one of the highlights in the Belvoir Castle events calendar”.
Next year’s show will welcome the return of BBC’s Gardeners’ World’s Adam Frost and David Domoney from ITV’s Love Your Weekend.
