The British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) will host a trade stand at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show named The Hive: A BALI Collaboration.
Designed by Matt Evans of The Garden Room Living and Landscape Studio, the garden will bring together BALI members and partner businesses to pool ideas, expertise, products and expertise.
Intended to act as a living demonstration of what the landscaping industry can achieve when its best minds, skills and supplier work together, “The Hive is a direct expression of what BALI membership stands for,” explains head of policy and public affairs, Amy Cobbett.
Evans has designed the 5m x 4m space as a climate-resilient outdoor space with hexagonal geometry, with the build being overseen by Frosts Landscapes, a founding member of the association.
Alistar Bayford, Frosts Landscapes and BALI board director comments:
“Frosts Landscapes is proud to be bringing this project to life, working alongside The Garden Room Living & Landscape Studio, leading suppliers and giving emerging professionals the opportunity to gain real experience on site. It’s exactly the kind of collaboration that strengthens the industry.”
Evans and Bayford will be joined by suppliers such as Ca Peitra, Millboard, Sky Garden, Hiller Trees, Furnitubes, Landscapeplus, Creepers, Land Technology, Marco Architectural Aluminium and Morvelle.
The space has been designed as a private garden, roof terrace or urban public green space with the message: Great landscape design is versatile, climate-resilient and built to last.
