Regent’s Park receives London FA Grounds Team of the Year 2025
The Regent’s Park, looked after by The Royal Parks charity, has been awarded with the London Football Association (FA) Grounds team of the Year 2025.
The award recognises the inclusive football provision offered in The Regent’s Park while providing some of the highest quality sports pitches in London, overlooked by the grounds team.
Becoming a prime location for women and girls football, the installation and maintenance of a hybrid pitch has encouraged the growth of girls teams.
Nick Biddle, park manager of The Regent’s Park and Primrose Hill says “our urban green spaces are crucial and it’s wonderful to be recognised by the London FA”.
Neil Twitchett, head of development at London FA also comments:
“The Regent’s Park Grounds Team have set the bar nationally for pitch quality and innovation.”
The increase in provision comes as the Lionesses celebrate their UEFA Women’s European Championship back-to-back win in 2025.
