Developer secures green light for £500m London Docklands plans
Regal, a London-based property developer, has secured planning approval for a £500m mixed-use site at Orchard Wharf in London Docklands.
Located on the north bank of the Thames, Orchard Wharf is planned to host a logistic centre, 200 affordable flats, student accommodation and public space comprising landscaped gardens, play areas and community facilities.
The 7,400m2 will be designed by Howells and worked up with Montagu Evans.
Steve Harrington, Regal planning director says this step is an important one “towards new affordable homes while ensuring the long-term future of the wharf as a sustainable logistics hub”.
The wharf is also intended to create a space with community benefit.
Construction is predicted during the first months of 2026.
