Construction amongst businesses offered no-fee specialist recruitment support
A government national campaign has been launched which offers no-fee specialist recruitment support to fill vacancies with UK businesses.
Construction, as well as other sectors such as retail, hospitality and manufacturing, is a sector targeted by the campaign.
Crucial in delivering the government’s Plan for Change, these sectors will receive more support to fill vacancies through JobCentre Plus, slash hiring costs and remove recruitment barriers.
Pat McFadden, secretary of state for work and pensions, says, “we’re encouraging businesses of all sizes to get in touch with their local Jobcentres to make the most of their expertise in getting Britain working”.
Aware of Britain’s skill shortage, the new campaign could help increase the pool of skilled tradespeople.
