John Deere Military Hiring Programme to help service leavers access agriculture and turf careers

John Deere will run a free online Military Hiring Programme event to help service leavers understand how their skills transfer into careers with agricultural and turf machinery.

The agriculture and landscaping equipment supplier will host the programme with a clear view of roles available across the UK and Ireland dealer network, the training pathway and the support on offer to those leaving the forces.

Following in John Deer’s resettlement pathway which launched in 2023 and continues to bring talent and service leavers into its dealership teams.

Allan Cochran, training centre manager at John Deere explains “this is a chance to hear directly from our team and speak with people who have already made the move. Service leavers bring huge value to our dealers and we will continue to invest in pathways that help them succeed.”

Earlier this year, John Deere was named in the 50 Great British Employers of Veterans 2025 list.

Taking place on 3 December at 7pm, registration is now open here.

John Deere expands parts solutions

John Deere expands parts solutions

Machine manufacturer John Deere has decided to expand its parts strategy to meet a more diverse range of needs for its customers.

From a comprehensive reassessment of the company’s parts portfolio, distribution channels and brand offerings, the result focuses on a tiered parts portfolio.

James Child, manager of aftermarket and customer support marketing in Europe says the evolved approach “ensures customers have access to the right solution at every stage of ownership”.

The company is also expanding ExtraParts into new European markets, which is a partnership that was formed between John Deere and Kramp back in 2017. It enables John Deere dealers to support customers throughout the machinery lifecycle with access to accessories, additional parts and other brands.

In order to help maintain uptime and productivity with ease, the expansion comes to provide customers with a broader and flexible range of parts, says Child.
