UK’s first 100% circular artificial grass play area opens in Scotland
Innerleithen Park, in the Scottish Borders, sees a UK first with the opening of a new play area featuring ONE-DNA Play 100% circular artificial grass, supplied by LazyLawn.
LazyLawn’s artificial grass was designed for playgrounds and multi-sport venues with a pile height of 24mm.
ONE-DNA Play ‘matched’ the Scottish Borders council goals, according to LazyLawn, due to its single polymer make-up and ability to be fully recycled into other landscaping products at the end of its life.
Gavin Brown, grass specialist at LazyLawn describes the installation as a “labour of love,” adding:
“One that we were more than excited to deliver, particularly with it heralding the first installation of its kind.”
Installation took 10 weeks in total, along with a play-safe fence and VertEdge edging to prevent trip hazards.
