Ashdown Phillips showcases results of Mitie collaboration

Ashdown Phillips has revealed the results of a collaboration between itself and Mitie, at a site close to St Paul’s Cathedral.

The partnership saw them create a rooftop community allotment for building users and wildlife at One Bartholomew, an office building and is now part of Mitie’s maintenance contract.

Tim Howell, managing director, landscapes, Mitie, says: “We’re always seeking opportunities to create great spaces that enhance biodiversity, and our project with Ashdown Phillips at One Bartholomew Close is a perfect example of this.

“The community allotment not only provides a vibrant and relaxing space for those who live and work in the building, but also promotes a nature positive landscape that attracts and supports local wildlife.

“We look forward to maintaining and nurturing the allotment over the coming months and years for the community to enjoy and benefit from.”

It saw them install 12 new planters filled with bee-friendly plants and revamped the four that were already there, adding wooden walkways for safe access.
