Public favours romantic garden at Hampton Court
The RHS People’s Choice Award has been awarded to The Three Graces of Galicia, designed by Nilufer Danis, based on three influential Spanish women in 19th-century literature at RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival this year.
Set beside a romantic gazebo, the garden hosts a cooling 19th-century water fountain and stone inscribed with key feminist quotes decorated with pastel planting.
Celebrating Rosalía de Castro, Emilia Pardo Bazán and Concepción Arenal, the garden has also been awarded a Silver-gilt medal.
Voting for the People’s Choice awards has been open to the public this week whilst the show has been taking place at Hampton Court Palace Gardens.
Best Garden of Curiosity and Gold medal winner, A Garden of Two Tales also picked up the People’s Choice award in its category.
His RHS Hampton Court debut, the garden was designed by Daniel March.
Welcoming Wildlife, designed by Henry T Pope has been awarded with People’s Choice in the City Pocket Planting category, as well as taking away a Silver-gilt medal.
