Webinar launches to offer insight into award winning RHS Chelsea HIV awareness garden
Platipus is hosting a webinar on 15 May to give viewers an insight into the story behind Matthew Childs’ RHS Silver Gilt Medal Chelsea Flower Show Garden ‘Bridge to 2030’.
The RHS Chelsea 2024 garden design symbolises the journey from the HIV crisis in the 1980’s to a future without new HIV cases by 2030.
Starting at 11am, the presentation will cover how Childs designed the garden, its symbolic elements and the planting strategy.

Matthew Childs and Bridge to 2030 Garden
The webinar will go into detail behind the meaning behind the quarry landscape, fluctuating water levels and its slate stepping stones which symbolises death transforming into a bridge of hope.
Now a Reigate community project, the garden has been relocated to Croydon Sexual Health Centre.
There will also be a chance to ask Childs questions throughout the presentation.
