Landscaping industry outperforms 2025 forecasts, report finds

Landscaping industry outperforms 2025 forecasts, report finds

Pro Landscaper Premium Plus has published a new State of the Nation report which sets out to provide a temperature check on market mood and sentiment. The research looks to establish current demand and what impact wider geopolitical impacts are having on the sector.

When looking at forecasts that were set out in last year’s survey, it’s positive to see that 2025 actuals outperformed those expectations.

The results of the 2026 survey were presented at the Premium Plus Landscaping Leadership Forum which took place across two days at Old Thorns Hotel & Resort on 2-3 July 2026.

Bringing together businesses across the sector and the supply chain, the event looked to create a networking and learning space for leaders and their teams.

Speakers throughout the day included John Wyer, chief executive at Bowles & Wyer, Jennifer Pheasey, director of policy & public affairs at HTA, Aidan Bell chief executive of idverde, Ian Phillips, chair of the Landscape Institute’s Policy and Public Affairs Committee, Ben Butler, senior policy manager, Federation of Small Businesses, Jacob Berry, managing director, Refined Landscapes and Lawrence Stubbings, actor, coach and associate director at Talik & Co.

The State of the Nation report brings together full analysis for the market plus breakdowns by commercial, residential and supply chain as well as industry commentary from the Landscaping Leadership Forum outlining key takeaways for the sector.
