CyanLines plans to create 100 miles of connected space in Manchester
Over the next ten years, the new project, CyanLines, is committed to creating 100 miles of connected green and blue space across Manchester to deliver a healthier and more climate-resilient city.
Supported by Manchester City Council, the team will set up the non-for-profit organisation to broaden partnership, increase awareness and secure the funding needed to make this happen.
Pete Swift, co-founder of CyanLines and current chief executive of Planit comments:
“The routes will be the starting point, or spring board, for a whole plethora of CyanLines projects which will bring new opportunities for nature to thrive and to be enjoyed.”
Four CyanLines already provide walkable and wheelable connections linking existing and planned green and blue spaces across the city.
The organisation are encouraging others to get involved by going onto its website.
