Herbicide-free solution developer enters administration
Weedingtech, developer of herbicide-free weed control technology Foamstream, has entered administration.
Set up in 2011 by Leo de Montaignac and Thomas Hamilton, Weedingtech was created to develop herbicide-free weed control technology in protection of the planet and overall reduction of traditional herbicides such as glyphosate.
de Montaignac says, “using Foamstream you can control unwanted vegetation in a cost-effective, efficient and safe way, whatever your environmental credentials and regardless of legislation. And you can do so much more with it now too – from chewing gum removal, to street cleaning, to power washing and general sanitisation jobs.”
Inside Pro Landscaper’s June issue, Rachael Forsyth explores the sector’s approach to weed management, in relation to glyphosate and herbicide-free alternatives.
On 4 June 2026, the company entered administration, which has now been taken over by company reconstruction business Leonard Curtis.
