Lynn Hill Garden Design, CED Stone group, and a whole host of garden professionals are certainly ready to clink glasses. Together they are creating the most glorious of show gardens featuring Italian glass, golden quartzite and corten steel.
Lynn has once again designed with outdoor living at its’ core. This is her 3rd show garden at Gardening Scotland and each one has been a celebration of the garden as an extension of the home. But this year, as Lynn has now joined the Gardening Scotland Board, things will be just for the fun of it.
Centre stage sits a beautiful glass cocktail bar from the wonderful Rosso Dotto. This modern twist contrasts happily against the rustic of the stone and the corten steel screens. These screens are new to the CED Stone Group catalogue and look decorative with their floral cut outs. .
There is a real feeling of old meets new. Caithness stone makes an appearance again this year. This time to create the most unique of worktops for the bar. Also CED’s Nero Santiago porcelain paving, a very modern product which sits so elegant and sumptuous underfoot. At the gardens’ entrance is a vortex in slate by the remarkable James Parker.
Speaking of the garden Lynn has said:
“We are so lucky to have such a great team behind us. CED Stone Group, Root One East, GM Land Solutions, McQueen Landscapes, Endrick and Ashley. They are the ones who make the magic happen, who bring the garden into being. Without them our gardens would be little more than a bunch of lovely products and some great ideas. Whatever our vision as designers, our contractors should be celebrated. After all it is their skill that brings our vision to life. And a special thanks must also go to the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) for supporting this project.”
This garden is just one of the elements of The Garden Party: celebrating 20 years of Gardening Scotland, and it’s not all just for show. There will indeed be plenty of cocktails and cake for everyone. Grillo Outdoor Kitchens will also be at the party with their fabulous kitchens. It will host cooking demonstrations from some top-notch chefs.
Gardening Scotland will take place between Friday 31st May to Sunday 2nd June 2019 at the Royal Highland Centre, Ingliston, Edinburgh.
