The Turfgrass Growers Association Show, hosted by Tillers Turf, proved to be successful and attracted 25 exhibitors including companies such as GKB, Toyota Material Handling and Barenburg. Despite the lack of water, Tillers’ perfectly green turf along with a wonderful view of the viaduct created the perfect setting for the event.
There were 135 attendees who saw the latest in turf technologies, networked with fellow growers and soaked up the sunshine enjoying a few drinks to celebrate the day.
Demonstrations on the day included a 23-gang mower from V-mow, Moffet forklift truck, a Trimax 5m mower, a Wessex RMX-500 8m mower and the Charterhouse Blecavator (stone burier).
The event finished with the customary TGA dinner which was held at the Pyewipe, Lincoln and extended the turf talks of the day.
Willie Baird, TGA Chairman, said: “Thank you to Tillers for a perfect venue, a wee bit different from what we would have seen in March! Everyone ‘mature enough’ is calling this year another 76, and I wonder what the next few weeks have in store. Thank you to all the exhibitors and all those involved for making it a successful event.”
Richard Owens of Tillers Turf said: “On behalf of myself and all the team at Tillers Turf, we would like to say how proud we were to host the TGA Summer Turf Show 2018, and wish to thank all those who visited for supporting what was a great event in beautiful weather. It was great to see so many industry friends and colleagues in attendance, and also to make many new acquaintances. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the companies who exhibited for supporting the day.”
