by | 18 Dec 23 | News, Supplier News

Environmental consultancy Tyler Grange is marking one year of B Corporation status by publishing its first impact report.

The report outlines its B Corp achievements thus far, alongside its commitments for the future and goals for recertification in 2025.

Since implementing a permanent four day work week, the business has seen an almost 30% increase in productivity and a 60% decrease in absences.

The change in hours has seen the firm cut its emissions by traveling 24k business miles less each year – an average 21% monthly decrease.

“As a business for good, we’ve always believed that growth must not come at the expense of our ethics,” says Jon Berry, director of people, places & purpose at Tyler Grange.

Berry goes on to highlight the firm is now “working within a framework for continuous improvement across all B Corp Impact Assessment areas.”

The consultancy plans to achieve a B Impact Assessment Score of more than 100, after achieving 91.3 in its first assessment, with the minimum verified score being 80.

With additional plans to improve its sustainable travel strategy and further investigate how to report on individual carbon emissions if the business and its activities were to expand.

In addition to its SDG achievements, Tyler Grange has recently won several industry awards, including Pro Landscaper’s Sustainability & Biodiversity Awards, in association with Kress, where the firm won ‘Best Arboriculture Company’.
