The International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH), organiser of the annual International Green City Conference, have announced that this year’s event, set to take place on 11 September 2019 in Beijing, is titled ‘Urban Greening for Clean and Healthy Cities’.
The AIPH International Green City Conference will be held as the first-day event of the World Ornamental Horticulture Summit taking place in the Yanqing District of Beijing from 11 – 13 September 2019. The conference will feature prominent speakers from China and around the world to share knowledge and experience of Green City policies and strategies with a particular focus on the effective use of plants in reducing air pollution.
The AIPH International Green City Conference will form part of the 71st AIPH Annual Congress programme and takes place alongside the AIPH approved international horticultural exhibition ‘Expo 2019 Beijing’. The conference provides a unique opportunity to unite key decision makers, policy developers and city planners with landscape architects and horticulturalists.
Held annually, the conference aims to advance the ‘AIPH Green City’ – an initiative that promotes the essential role of plants in creating vibrant and healthy urban environments.
Delegates may attend the AIPH International Green City Conference as a stand-alone event or as a registered full programme delegate of the World Ornamental Horticulture Summit or 71st AIPH Annual Congress.
